Sorun Sandığımızdan Daha Derin

Resim

Resim
Hello taken from here What does " Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" mean? Friends, this expression means Woman, Life, Freedom in Kurdish. In short, we can say that if there is a woman, there is life, if there is a woman, there is freedom. It's International Women's Day, and the world is wearing colors of empowerment on this beautiful March 8. A choir of voices emerges, honoring the grace and tenacity of women everywhere, from peaceful rural lanes to busy metropolitan streets. Women are the weavers of power, compassion, and limitless possibilities in the fabric of existence. They blaze paths and shatter boundaries as they act as rays of hope. We celebrate their path, their victories, and their steadfast spirit today. As supporters and champions, let us promise to walk hand in hand with them as we shape a future in which equality is paramount and the dreams of all women are unattainable. Happy International Women's Day, folks! :)

HIV/AIDS?

Resim
Hello Again my thoughts from the course: Dr. Gene Richardson introduced the term "structural violence," which describes the extensive ways in which institutions, societal norms, and structures cause pain and suffering to particular groups of people. It involves differences in how people with different backgrounds, classes, genders, and sexual orientation can access resources, opportunities, and rights. Because of things like poverty, stigma, and prejudice, structural violence in the context of HIV/AIDS leads to increased transmission rates and worse health outcomes among marginalized communities. Social Interventions in the Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS: Comprehensive Sexual Health Education: By arming people with information about sexual health, particularly HIV transmission, preventative strategies (such condom usage and prior to exposure prophylaxis), and the significance of testing and treatment, comprehensive sexual health education can empower people. This ...

FGM/ FGC?

Resim
Hello  Again from my assignment on the course, thoughts as follows: The phrase "female genital cutting" (FGC) has drawn criticism for possibly downplaying the seriousness of the procedure, despite being neutral and sensitive to cultural differences. FGM is a term used to highlight the destructive aspects of the practice and how it violates human rights; yet, it has drawn criticism for possible cultural insensitivity. Female Circumcision: Gets flak for downplaying the seriousness of FGC and trying to make comparisons with male circumcision. Every term has connotations that range in terms of cultural sensitivity, awareness of pain, and opportunity for productive discussion. Every term has connotations that range in terms of cultural sensitivity, awareness of pain, and opportunity for productive discussion. In the end, the language used should take these aspects into account while approaching FGC as a public health issue and a violation of human rights. In addition to b...

Right to Education

Hello                                            taken from  here Today again here are my thoughts that I wrote in my thought question assignment in my Stanford University based course "International Women's Health and Human Rights". I look forward to your thoughts. Providing education for girls is directly related to a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as: SDG 1: No Poverty: Girls with more education have greater economic opportunities, which can assist in pulling families out of poverty. SDG 3: Well-being and Good Health: Girls who receive an education have better health results for themselves and their family because they are more aware of hygiene and medical procedures. SDG 4: Quality Education: By encouraging possibilities for lifelong learning, this target specifically seeks to guarantee inclusive and equitable quality education for ev...

What is the Beijing Declaration?

Resim
Hello   The Beijing Declaration is a significant document adopted at the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in 1995. It outlines a comprehensive plan for achieving gender equality and women's empowerment worldwide, covering issues like education, health, violence against women, economic empowerment, and political participation. It emphasizes eliminating discrimination and promoting women's rights at all levels of society. Also here are my thoughts that I wrote in my thought question assignment in my Stanford University based course "International Women's Health and Human Rights". If you read and share your thoughts, I believe we will have a very nice conversation. Almost all nations have endorsed the Beijing Declaration, which was adopted in 1995 and serves as a global commitment to gender equality. It provides tactics to end prejudice against women, support their economic independence, and increase their involvement in decision-making. In a number of industrie...
